1. Who we are
Arbiter Defense Group is the d/b/a of ARBR Inc. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean ARBR Inc.
This policy covers one thing: the website at arbiterdefense.group. It describes what the website collects when you visit it, who receives that information, and how to reach us about it. Services we provide under a signed agreement are governed by that agreement and by the documents delivered with it.
2. What this website collects
There are three sources. Each is described below.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4, a measurement service provided by Google, under the measurement ID G-BX4Z7S58HJ. It records how the site is used and reports it to us in aggregate. The data it collects includes:
- pages viewed and the order they were viewed in;
- the referring page or site that brought you here;
- approximate location, derived by Google from your IP address at roughly city level;
- device and browser information, such as browser type, operating system, screen size, and language.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to recognize a returning visit. Google processes this data as our service provider and under its own terms. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
We use analytics to understand which pages people read and how they arrive. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not attempt to match visits to a named person.
The scheduling widget on the contact page
The contact page offers a way to book a consultation. That feature is provided by Calendly, a third-party scheduling service. The form on our page has two fields, name and email. When you submit it, those values are passed to Calendly to prefill its booking screen.
If you go on to book a time, the booking is created in Calendly's systems. Calendly collects the information you give it, including your name, email address, the time you selected, and anything you enter in its own fields. Calendly holds that information as its own controller under its privacy policy, at calendly.com/privacy. We receive the resulting booking and the details you provided.
The contact page loads code from Calendly's servers, so Calendly can see your IP address and browser information when that page opens, whether or not you book. Other pages on this site do not load it.
Email you send us
If you write to contact@arbiterdefense.group, we receive your message, your email address, and whatever you choose to include. It sits in our email systems and is read by our staff.
3. What this website does not do
- There are no accounts on this website. Nothing here has a login.
- No form on this website stores what you type on our servers. The consultation form hands its two fields to Calendly and keeps nothing.
- We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- The site carries no advertising and no remarketing tags.
- We do not use the website to build profiles of visitors or to add anyone to a marketing list.
4. How we use what we receive
Analytics tells us which pages are read and how visitors arrive, so we can write a better site. Scheduling information exists so a conversation can be arranged. Email exists so we can answer you. We use each for that purpose and for keeping ordinary business records.
5. Who receives it
Google and Calendly receive information as described in Section 2. Our email and hosting providers process what passes through them in the course of running those services. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others. Beyond that, we do not pass what this website collects to anyone else.
6. Retention
Analytics data is held by Google for the retention period configured on the property and is available to us only in aggregated reporting after that. Booking records are held by Calendly under its own retention practices and by us in our calendar and business records. Email correspondence is kept while an inquiry is open and afterward as part of our business records. We delete what we no longer need.
7. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Most browsers also have a private browsing mode.
You can visit the site without ever using the contact page. You can write to us by email instead of booking.
Write to contact@arbiterdefense.group to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it removed. We will act on reasonable requests and will tell you if there is a record we are required to keep. If you live in a state with privacy rights of its own, including California, this is the address to use to exercise them.
8. Children
This website is meant for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will remove it.
9. Links to other sites
This site links to sites we do not operate. Their privacy practices are their own and this policy does not cover them.
10. Changes to this policy
Each version of this policy has its own address. This is version 1, at /legal/privacy/v1/. When we publish a new version it gets a new version number and effective date, and the unversioned link at /legal/privacy/ resolves to whichever version is current. Superseded versions stay available at their original addresses.
